Sorry if I post in incorrect forum paragraph, but I don`t understand estonian.

The point is, that I`m about to go to Tallin to buy 2G Mitsubishi Eclipse or Eagle Talon, so I would like to ask You a little favour: tell me please a good service or car repair shop where I could go and check the car before I buy it! Which service in Tallinn is oriented to eclipses with Chrysler 420A engine?

You should know that none of those previously mentioned can't do anything serious to check this car...

I previously had the same car you are looking for 2g with 420A engine.. so I know the issue..

Actually the most important for me is to check suspension, drivetrain (bushings, arms, etc) and some major engine check, like compression ratio, so I suppose than any reasonable service would be good enough for me.

ok... then any workshop is good enough for you...

here are few things I recommend you to check:

1. The engine should idle perfictly... not jumping up and down every once in a while... (a problem hard to fix on this car)

2. Airbags- check if the airbag light goes on for few seconds if you turn on the engine... as well as check engine light

3. ABS if the car has it from factory... They often stop working on this model...

4. Air conditioning- very expensive to repair in Europe

5. Check for rust- the rear hatch, especially the lower corners, where the rear windshield ends...

As I own DSM 1G, I have little experience with chrysler engines, but the things you listed are exactly the same to those my club-mates ( www.dsmclub.lv ) reccomended me. Except only for rust - I have never seen rusted 2G, but ok, I`ll check for rust with more caution.

Thank you all for advices, Talon is in LV now.
However, for testing we went to the Autoregistrikeskus and did inspection there. Decided that guys in ARK will be least subjective, and I can say, that they did their job perfectly.
